KDs Cakes derived from the desires of a 3 year old heart. Knowing her 4th birthday was quickly approaching my oldest daughter, affectionately known as KD, asked for a Princess Castle cake. I searched city to city and bakery to grocery store for the perfect cake. Having found the perfect cake, I sadly had to tell my daughter it was out of budget. The look on her face broke my heart and I decided I could make this cake myself. The cake, was a bit of an eye sore but the flavor moisture and deliciousness was the talk of the party. Fast forward 7 months to October 2010, I accepted my first paid cupcake order ... 250 pink velvet ribbon shaped cupcakes for a Breast Cancer Awareness event hosted by W.O.W Ministry at a local PG County church.
Over the past 12 years I've spent my time geeking out on all things sweet ... the oven is on ... Taste My KaKes!
KDs Cakes menu has grown from homemade scratch cupcakes to chocolate treats, 3D cakes, edibles, donuts, wedding cakes and more.
